Giancarlo Brotto
Giancarlo is a globally recognized thought leader, keynote speaker, and advisor with over 25 years of experience at the intersection of education, technology, and leadership. He has helped elementary and secondary schools across Canada and around the world navigate major shifts in learning - first during the digital transition, and now through the deeper challenge of integrating artificial intelligence in ways that are responsible, ethical, and aligned with educational purpose.
Before stepping into global advisory work, Giancarlo spent 14 years in classrooms working directly with learners - from preschoolers to university students. That experience grounds his approach today: practical, faith-informed, and deeply respectful of the day-to-day realities educators face. As the founder of Pave Edu, he now supports governments, school systems, and schools worldwide as they move beyond AI awareness toward confident, values-driven action - through high-impact workshops, strategic planning, and leadership coaching.
A former Ontario high school math teacher and graduate of Catholic and Jesuit schools, Giancarlo brings a unique lens shaped by both innovation and values-based education. He is an active member of his Catholic community and regularly supports faith-based school divisions in aligning AI use with mission, equity, and the formation of the whole learner.
He has delivered keynotes to audiences as large as 55,000 and currently serves on several global education bodies, including the Brookings Institution’s Task Force on AI in Education and Oxford University’s AI Education Hub. His mission is simple and clear: to ensure every learner, educator, and leader is equipped to thrive in a world increasingly shaped by AI.
