Learning Opportunities

Jane Roberts is a Learning Specialist with Rocky View Schools. With 15 years of experience in public and independent schools as an educator, principal, instructional coach and ELL program coordinator, Jane works elbow-to-elbow with middle and high school teachers and administrators fostering a culture of literacy. Specific areas of interest and experience include engaging and empowering adolescent learners, igniting passionate readers and independent writers with mentor texts, balanced assessment practices, disciplinary literacy, and inclusive design.

Alida South is an accomplished educator with over 20 years of experience in public education. Her extensive background spans K-8 settings, where she has served as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, and learning support teacher. Currently, she is a Learning Specialist with Rocky View Schools, where she collaborates closely with teachers across the division. Alida is dedicated to enhancing literacy and numeracy instruction, providing valuable support and resources to empower educators in their classrooms.
