As an administrator, district leader, or learning leader how can we embrace the Indigenous idea of wholeness in the classroom to support greater belonging for all learners? This workshop will support administrators in guiding their teachers to consider how Indigenous Knowledge Systems can support a rich experience for students in their classrooms and the larger school community.

As an introductory guide, Weaving Ways supports teacher exploration of the histories, cultures, languages, contributions, perspectives and contemporary contexts of First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples, while engendering knowledge, understanding and respect. Weaving Ways in structured with four interrelated quadrants which educators can utilize to organize their thinking and instructional approaches. Administrators will find this introductory guide advantageous in supporting their teachers in fulfilling competency five in the TQS, while deepening their own knowledge of Indigenous pedagogical practices.
